Education
As students and teachers return to classrooms each August, so will some STEMC employees.
“The education of young people is a responsibility that we take very seriously,” says Marilyn Means, Southwest TN EMC Board of Directors. “Young people not only represent our future members but also the future residents of the communities that we serve.”
Southwest Tennessee Electric partners with the school systems in our service area to make a variety of programs available to teachers and students. Safety programs are available for various age groups or can be customized to work in classrooms as needed. These safety programs are designed to be flexible, demonstrating the dangers of electricity with adjustable levels of intensity to students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Leadership, career, conservation and environmental programs can also be customized to meet the needs of individual groups.
To find out more information about presentations at your school, church or civic organization contact Kenley Mitchell via email or call 731.585.0543.
